Classism in a picture

This image shows the position of a low class person in the society.
When observing the classism depicted in this image and trying to connect it to another text, Jane Austen's novel "Sense and Sensibility" demonstrates this social issue evidently. The novel written in the nineteenth century follows the lives of its protagonists- Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, as they have to move out of their house in Norland Park and go live in a cottage due to their half-brother and his wife moving into their estate after their father's death. Unfortunately, life in a society full of people prejudicing against class, power and gender isn't always easy for people without a high status just like the Dashwood family.  After their brother and his family move into their house, Elinor and Marianne along with their mother Mrs. Dashwood and sister Margret have to move into a cottage owned by Mrs. Dashwood's cousin Mr. John Middleton. Despite the fact that the cottage isn't in good condition, the family still has to live there, since they don't have anywhere else to go and they are dependent on Mr. Middleton for a shelter. How the girls survive without any connects or fortune in a world ruled by money is what the story is about. The idea of dependence and authority resting with high class people in the novel can be totally matched with this image. This image depicts classism in a more child- friendly way were all the big guys have power and the little guy has to listen and follow their instructions because they hold his happiness and power in their hands. All over the picture the "big"people or the rich people are telling what should be done to the people who don't have that much wealth, just like Mr. Middleton and his relatives telling the Dashwood sisters what to do. Classism in this novel is not that direct, it need to be found between the lines, behind the sarcasm and behind the emotions. The poor guy or the little student in this guy is burned by all the taxes he needs to pay, whereas on the other side this rich guy is free, and doesn't have to spend a single penny off his fortune. Overall, it can be noticed that everything that goes around the world, everything we read, all the pics we make, all of them have one or two things in common, and in this case it is the idea of classism. The whole idea rich people deserve better treatment as apposed to the middle class people not only was it evident back in the nineteenth century, it can still be seen around the world.
